چکیده

Continuously operating heterogeneous catalytic reactors are an important step towards more efficient and controllable processes compared to batch operation. Ideally, should exhibit high permeability with the catalyst having a surface area volume ratio minimize required amount. An example of such morphology nanoparticles plate-like morphology. In this work, reactor was prepared by depositing silver on positively charged internal phase emulsion monoliths exploiting their negative zeta potential. The nanoplates had edge length 63 nm thickness 13 sphericity factor 0.548. amount deposited silver, determined from absorbance measurement mass difference 12.5 mg/ml remained unaffected concentration groups in range between 69 110 mmol/l, demonstrating robustness proposed approach. unchanged after deposition under flow due polymer microstructure. found be stable various elution conditions, even prolonged reduction 4-nitrophenol. specific activity 428 min−1 g−1, which is order magnitude higher than that cuboctahedra shape one highest reported. approach can applied types variety possible interactions.

Antibacterial titanium plate deposited by silver nanoparticles exhibits cell compatibility

Microbial colonization and biofilm formation on the surface of implant devices may cause peri-implantitis and lead to bone loss. The aim of this study was to develop a novel antibacterial titanium implant surface and to test its biological performance. In a previous study, we demonstrated that titanium plates deposited by nanosilver acquired antibacterial activity to Staphylococcus aureus and E...

Catalytic Activity of Silicon Nanowires Decorated with Gold and Copper Nanoparticles Deposited by Pulsed Laser Ablation

Silicon nanowires (SiNWs) decorated by pulsed laser ablation with gold or copper nanoparticles (labeled as AuNPs@SiNWs and CuNPs@SiNWs) were investigated for their catalytic properties. Results demonstrated high catalytic performances in the Caryl-N couplings and subsequent carbonylations for gold and copper catalysts, respectively, that have no precedents in the literature. The excellent activ...

Sugar-based micro/mesoporous hypercross-linked polymers with in situ embedded silver nanoparticles for catalytic reduction

Porous hypercross-linked polymers based on perbenzylated monosugars (SugPOP-1-3) have been synthesized by Friedel-Crafts reaction using formaldehyde dimethyl acetal as an external cross-linker. Three perbenzylated monosugars with similar chemical structure were used as monomers in order to tune the porosity. These obtained polymers exhibit microporous and mesoporous features. The highest Brunau...

Studying the Adsorption Process of Riboflavin on Silver-Deposited Fe3O4 Nanoparticles

The adsorption characteristics of riboflavin onto silver-deposited iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles (Ag/Fe3O4) have been described. Characterization of the synthesized Ag/Fe3O4 nanoparticles was achieved by FTIR spectra, TEM image and XRD pattern. The influence of several experimental parameters such as nanoparticles dosage, pH of the sample solution...
